Captain File Search now has nodes for n8n, in n8n Cloud and self-hosted n8n. See the n8n guide.

• Two nodes: Captain File Search searches, indexes and manages collections, and Captain File Search Trigger starts a workflow when an indexing or parse job completes, fails, is cancelled or times out.
• Install: in n8n Cloud, search for Captain File Search in the nodes panel. In self-hosted n8n, install @captain-sdk/n8n-nodes-filesearch from Settings → Community Nodes.
• Search: Search Collection and Search Multiple Collections return one item per passage, with Simplified, Raw or Selected Fields output and a metadata filter builder.
• AI Agent tool: attach Captain File Search to the n8n AI Agent so the agent can search collections.
• Index from 14 sources: uploaded files from earlier steps, URLs, text, YouTube, Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, Cloudflare R2, Supabase Storage, Backblaze B2, Google Drive, SharePoint, OneDrive and Dropbox.
• Dropdowns for locations: buckets, containers, folders, files, sites, libraries and users load from the storage credential, and each dropdown also takes a typed name, path, ID or link.
• Manage collections: documents, collections, jobs, continuous syncs and parsing are all available as actions.
• Signed trigger deliveries: the trigger registers its webhook when a workflow is activated, removes it when the workflow is deactivated, and rejects deliveries with a missing or wrong signature.
